Brain Health and Safety

Through many projects and events, Pilot Club of Sumner County teaches brain health and safety to children in Sumner County.

Pilot International’s “Helmet People” project is a signature safety initiative focused on brain health by distributing, fitting and educating youth on the use of safety helmets.

Pilot Club of Sumner County accomplishes this initiative through our flagship event, the Bicycle Rodeo, where Sumner County children ages 5-10 learn to ride a bike from our County’s own Bike Patrol officers, who also custom fit each participant with a free helmet!

In addition, our partnership with Nashville Radio Station, JACK FM, allows us to donate helmets in their Bikes or Bust promotion each year at Christmastime.

Brain Safety and Education

BrainMindersTM is Pilot International’s signature program designed to teach safety to children to help prevent brain injuries. Members of Pilot Club of Sumner County give FUN Brain Health and Safety presentations in preschools, Elementary and Middle Schools in Sumner County.
